Altron expects double-digit first-half earnings increase
JSE-listed Altron on Wednesday said that it expected double-digit growth in earnings for the six months ended August 31, 2026.
Headline earnings per share (HEPS) for continuing operations are expected to increase by between 11% and 17% to a range of 107c to 112c, while earnings per share (EPS) will increase by the same percentages to between 93c and 98c.
The continuing operations include Altron FinTech, Netstar, Altron HealthTech, Altron Security, Altron Digital Business, Altron Document Solutions and Altron Arrow.
The group operations, including continuing and discontinued operations, expect a HEPS increase of between 21% and 27% to a range of 105c to 110c, while EPS is expected to surge by between 41% and 47% to between 93c and 97c.
This includes the impact of Nexus for five months in discontinued operations. Nexus was disposed of effective August 1, 2025, and has no impact on the 2027 financial year.
Altron will publish its interim results for the first half of the 2027 financial year on November 2, 2026.
